Catherine has over 20 years of artistic expression in writing, music, film and performance. Her gifts for story telling, visual imagery and music created a synergistic effect in the award winning documentary Where Whales and Humans Meet and music videos The Promise and We’ll Find A Way. She has also been story editor and writer for television series and documentaries such as Dreamwrecks and Racing the Wind. As composer and songwriter, Catherine’s jubilant theme song Golden, in the NSGEU 50th Anniversary Film and haunting music in Dispelling The Myths, are examples of the energy and emotion in her soundtracks. Catherine is equally accomplished doing on-camera or voice-over narration. As a singer/songwriter, she is currently working on her third album after achieving success with The Promise CD, and charted Adult Contemporary recordings beginning with her first album It’s All Up to You. Showing versatility with a camera, her captivating whale footage has been licensed to films, such as the internationally acclaimed feature documentary Saving Luna. Catherine’s love of animals and the environment prompted her to found the not-for-profit Whale Stewardship Project to study and protect orphan beluga whales.  Catherine is a member of AF of M, SAC, Music Nova Scotia and SOCAN.
